Thunder Bay Amethyst & Chalcopyrite Specimen

Originated in Thunder bay Canada. Slab shines really well in natural light. The purole amethyst crystals are coated with a chalcopyrite that creates a glitter effect. With the different colors found on this specimen it displays very well in a collection. Comes with a stand. 

Thunder Bay District of Ontario is world famous for its distinctive, ancient amethyst crystals.

Mined ourselves from an undisclosed private mine site in McTavish Township, in the Thunder Bay District. Called Meteoric Amethyst, Thunder Bay Red Amethyst, Canadian Amethyst and Auralite 23, this rare and unique mineral is highly sought after by collectors around the world.

Known as Auralite 23 or Purple & Red Amethyst with druzy quartz and a small band of green Jade. This is a rare formation with perfect crystal points. From Ontario Canada. 

This crystal is a very rare type of Amethyst that can only be found in one place in the world: Canada. Each piece contains a combination of about 2 to 7 different minerals from a list of 23. This stone is estimated to be around 2.4 Billion years old & to have come from a time when everything had melted into a solution due to heat from impacting comets. Some of the 23 different minerals that have been found in Auralite are Silver, Gold, Platinum, Hematite, Amethyst, Citrine, Quartz, Malachite & more!
